Gila Karp Inbar

NeuroActive Physiotherapy was established by Physiotherapist Gila Karp Inbar, and was inspired by her life-long passion for exercise, health and wellness. After working in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital with clients who experienced acquired brain injuries and complex trauma, Gila recognized the need for quality community Physiotherapy services to be provided in either the home, workplace or gym environments.
Gila’s treatment philosophy is that to effectively manage her clients’ needs and goals, treatment programs must be individualized, with special attention given to her client’s personal goals and abilities. She is committed to evidenced-based practice, continuing education and life-long learning.
Gila is an enthusiastic, passionate and highly committed Physiotherapist who was driven towards a career in Physiotherapy by her passion for helping individuals recover from severe injuries and return to optimal physical function. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University in 2002. She continued her studies at the University of Toronto and received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree in 2004, acquiring a vast amount of training in neurological and orthopedic Physiotherapy. She advanced her Physical Therapy training by completing her Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) Certificate Course in 2005, as well as NDTA advanced handling courses.
